"Who wants to be a bean counter?". Ask Richard Schauer this question and he will
describe to you why his career took this path more than 25 years ago.
Having earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in 1983 from the
University of Windsor, he became a C.A. student working for a regional
accounting firm in Chatham, Ontario. This is where Richard first became
aware of the challenges that owner/manager entrepreneurs face daily.
Richard obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1986 at
which time he took the opportunity to practice his new profession in Kingsville,
Ontario with Dan K Loop Chartered Accountant. It soon became apparent that
he brought an extensive skill set to the firm which led to his admission
to partnership in 1990. Since then, Richard continues to look for new ways
to meet the needs of the firms valued clients.

As assurance partner, his main focus is providing clients with:

- Business valuations
- Assistance in obtaining financing for operations and expansion
- General business advisory and consulting.
Richard has also utilized his professional skills and experiences in
the community having served as treasurer and a member of the board of
directors of a local non profit early childhood education centre for
8 years, and as treasurer of a local church for the past 18 years. He
has been involved with various other groups and committees in our local
area.
